Background

Ezekiel Melquist, MD, is a Washingtonian, and glad to return to his home state, where he was raised. He graduated from Tacoma Community College and the Evergreen State College, then attended medical school at Kings College in London, where he was born. He completed his residency in Brooklyn, NY.

He enjoys teaching medical students and residents, so you will hopefully see him alongside learners. He has a special interest in medical education, lifestyle medicine, and gender medicine. He enjoys working with families and hearing about how health care impacts all areas of one’s life. He is a strong advocate for vaccinations, supporting children’s success in schools, and providing families with the resources they need to raise their kids.

During medical school, he enjoyed every specialty and wanted to be a general practitioner, but being "a bit of a kid at heart," he really connected with pediatric patients and chose to specialize in this area. He strives to be a hybrid of his heroes Patch Adams, Mr. Rogers, Batman and Sherlock Holmes.

He likes hiking, cooking, dogs, reading, board games and playing music.
