Release Date: Mar 18, 2024

SHELTON — Brush off your golf clubs! Mason County’s premier golf tournament fundraiser returns with the 28th annual Mason General Hospital Foundation Quality Care Open. This year’s Quality Care Open will take place on Friday, July 12, at LakeLand Village Golf Course in Allyn, Washington. This marks the return of the golf tournament to Mason County after a lucrative fundraiser last year in DuPont. The Mason General Hospital Foundation Golf Committee is excited to bring the tournament back to Mason County on a rotating basis, with the support of Platinum Sponsor CDW Healthcare and several sponsors that have already stepped forward (see list below). The committee looks forward to another year of raising funds for Mason Health, bringing quality health care to Mason County for more than 55 years.

“In 2022 and 2023, our first years bringing back this event post-pandemic, we witnessed a tremendous groundswell of support from Mason Health’s partners and community supporters from within Mason County and beyond,” said event co-chair Brent Wilcox, a longtime MGHF golf tournament player and director at OAC Services, Inc., a Gold Level Sponsor this year. “We are thrilled to see that happening once again and could not be more excited to have another successful, banner year of fundraising for Mason Health.”

Mason General Hospital Foundation’s Golf Tournament will be raising funds for medical equipment at Mason Health. Details will be forthcoming!

“Supporting this event means supporting quality health care in Mason County,” said event co-chair Karen Schade-Sullivan, owner of Edward Jones-Karen Schade. “We are so lucky to have access to health care services in our rural community. It is critical that we continue to support events like these so we can have the best, highest-quality medical equipment right here at home.”

Players will enjoy a day of natural splendor at LakeLand Village Golf, on the 18-hole championship Ranch Course, amid the breathtaking views of Hood Canal and Puget Sound’s Case Inlet. Four-person teams will play 18 holes in a scramble format. Included with the price of the ticket are a variety of prizes, team photos provided by Hood Canal Communications, golfer gift packs, lunch and an awards dinner prepared by LakeLand Village Golf Club. Breakfast will be available for purchase.

Take advantage of early bird pricing by registering to play before June 2. Tickets cost $199 per person, or $796 for four-person team. After June 2, tickets will cost $219 per person, or $876 for a four-person team. Registration is available online at www.masongeneral.com/community/events/quality-care-open-golf-tournament. Players may also pay in person at the Foundation’s office at 2505 Olympic Highway North, Suite 170, in Shelton, or by calling the MGHF Office at 360-427-3623.
